Evaluating Data for Public Health
Decision Making

Description:
Public health practitioners routinely use and interpret data generated by research or analysis to make decisions for program and policy purposes.  To do this effectively, they must understand how to form judgments about program outcomes, impact and cost-effectiveness, using the strength of evidence reflected in data. This course will help practitioners answer questions like; did the program “work” as planned?  Is it worth continuing?  Should it be expanded?

The target audience for the course is public health practitioners involved in public health data analysis and program/policy development and management.
