Facilitating for Engagement
The basics of team and group facilitation are the emphasis of this interactive workshop. Skills learned are applicable in all types of work or community-based settings. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Identify important factors contributing to high quality meetings
- Apply skills for preventing and intervening against common meeting problems
- Practice leading groups through discussions and problem solving
- List additional resources for ongoing learning about meeting facilitation
This workshop is recommended for anyone who plans or facilitates workplace or public meetings and community engagement events. It is recommended as a pre-requisite to the workshop, Creating Space for the Public Voice: Planning for Engagement, to be offered in Columbus, Ohio on June 6, 2012.

Cost
The cost of this workshop is $105.00. Upon completion of the registration process, you will have the opportunity to select payment type and print an invoice, which should be submitted with your payment. Or, you may pay by credit card. Lunch will be provided.
Registration
To register for this course, go to https://www.cphplearn.org, the Center for Public Health Practice (CPHP) Learning Content Management System (LCMS). Enter your username and password, or if you are a first-time user, select Create Account and enter your profile information. TRAIN users may want to use the same username and password for both TRAIN and the LCMS.
Click on Course Catalog, click on View beside Facilitating for Engagement. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on LCMS Registration. Once the registration process is complete, you will receive a confirmation email containing additional instructions.
To have your registration also appear in your TRAIN transcript, you will need to stay logged into the CPHP LCMS. Scroll to the bottom of the Course Description/Registration page and click on TRAIN Registration.
Note: The LCMS and TRAIN interact with each other.
The deadline for registration is Friday, March 16, 2012. Please note that class size is limited. Registration will occur on a first-come-first-served basis.
