Open Position: Evaluation Officer

Evaluation Officer, deadline February 15, 2018; Proposed start date: April 2, 2018

 

Interact for Health is seeking applications for an Evaluation Officer. The Evaluation Officer is a full-time position The Evaluation Officer designs, manages and implements evaluations of some of Interact’s grantmaking strategies. The Evaluation Officer collaborates with assigned internal teams to identify, synthesize, and share lessons learned from Interact’s focus areas. The Evaluation Officer works closely with Interact’s Program Officers, Evaluation Team, Executive Team, and grantees to ensure that project teams have a plan to evaluate their progress and report on the effectiveness of their work.  In addition, the Evaluation Officer provides technical assistance to staff, grantees, partners, and the community to advance the mission of Interact. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

·       A master’s degree in a related discipline

·       Experience with program evaluation or applied research

·       Familiarity with data analysis

·       Excellent written and oral communication skills

·       Excellent customer service skills

·       Able to work well as part of team

·       Able to synthesize data, knowledge, and lessons learned and translate to different audiences

·       Able to provide objective feedback

·       Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

·       Self-directed learner

·       Able to navigate challenging, complex, and ambiguous situations

·       Knowledge of public health

 

Desired Skills:

·       5 – 10 years field-related or foundation experience

·       Current working knowledge of the region’s opioid crisis

·       Experience evaluating: substance abuse or behavioral health programs, criminal justice programs, prevention, or community coalition work a plus
